Virgil van Dijk confirms Jürgen Klopp will stay at Liverpool

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Virgil van Dijk confirms Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp will stay at Liverpool.

“Of course, Klopp is the boss and that doesn’t change. I‘m very happy with him, he’s very happy at Liverpool.”

“I hope better times are coming again, that’s what we are working for,” van Dijk tells SkyDE via Florian Plettenberg.

Klopp’s side have struggled to replicate their previous heights this season with the Merseyside club currently languishing in seventh place.

Liverpool we’re knocked out of both domestic cup competitions and suffered a heavy 5-2 home defeat to Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.

The Reds host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield this Wednesday before facing newly crowned Carabao Cup (EFL Cup) winners Manchester United on the weekend.

Manchester United won the reverse fixture at Old Trafford in the third match of the season with goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.
