Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a new forward continues, with Dominic Solanke at the top of their shortlist.
According to Matt Law, Tottenham have already held talks for the Bournemouth player as they look to push forward with a move for the Englishman, who scored 19 and created three in 38 Premier League games last season. But one potential stumbling block is the asking price.
Per The Telegraph, Solanke has a reported buy-out clause of around £65m, a fee that Tottenham are ‘unwilling to match’. But one workaround could be to offer ‘more favourable payment terms’.
Tottenham’s search for a striker
Ange Postecoglou wants a particular profile for his attacker, and Solanke matches just that. Although a goalgetter, the 26-year-old is much more than that. His off the ball movement, ability to bring others into play and more importantly, his press, will be key to Postecoglou’s plans.
