As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona are set to meet over the coming days to discuss the futures of Clément lenglet and Giovani Lo celso.
Lenglet, who has now departed Spurs after a year-long loan spell from the Spanish side, is believed to be among 2 other names in the club’s shortlist of left footed centre-backs to sign this summer.
The 27-year-old has been in and out of a squad which has had a tumultuous season, playing a total of 32 matches in all competitions under three different managers. Furthermore, previous reports have suggested that the North London club were pleased with the Frenchman, and have informed the Blaugrana of their intention to purchase him permanently.
As for Lo Celso, the former PSG man initially joined Mauricio Pochettino’s Lilywhites on a season-long loan deal from Real Betis in 2019 worth £14.1, before joining permamantely a year later under Jose Mourinho, for a fee believed to be £28.5m. However, the 27-year-old failed to make a significant impact at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and has subsequently spent the last 18 months on loan at Villarreal.
The World Cup winner’s performances for The Yellow Submarine this season- in which he made 25 appearances and claimed one goal and three assists- are reported to have caught the eye of Barça, especially from head coach Xavi, who is said to appreciate the versatile midfielder.
