Three Premier League clubs ‘all in’ for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen

According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, Manchester City, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are ‘all in’ for Napoli’s rising star Victor Osimhen.

The 24-year-old will cost ‘at least’ €100m following an impressive season with the league-leaders Napoli who currently sit 18 points clear of Inter Milan in second.

The Nigerian international has scored 21 goals in 27 appearances this term which has alerted many of Europe’s top clubs.

Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in 2020 for a fee worth €75m and since joining the Italian side he has netted 49 goals while assisting 14.

He stands at 6ft 1in tall and his physicality will certainly lend itself well to life in the Premier League should any move this summer come to fruition. Out of the clubs mentioned in Plettenberg’s report, Manchester United particularly have been visibly short in the number nine position since Cristiano Ronaldo left the club and with Wout Weghorst joining the club on a loan deal from Burnley in January, ten Hag’s side will likely need a long-term option.

Chelsea are not quite in the same boat as the Red Devils considering their €113m signing Romelu Lukaku will return to the club this summer following his loan spell in Italy with Inter Milan although his future at Stamford Bridge is surely under question and the Belgian may end up staying at the Nerazzurri on a permanent deal.
