Tata Martino before Mexico’s game v Argentina: “I still haven’t decided the striker”

Mexico manager Tata Martino has revealed that he has not decided who will play as the striker a day before El Tri’s game against the Selecao.

Martino was speaking to reporters before Mexico’s second World Cup tie which comes against Argentina tomorrow, but the manager revealed that he has not decided as to who will play upfront, with reports stating that Rogelio Funes Mori expected to start upfront.

But in the press conference, the manager stated: “I still haven’t defined the striker. I couldn’t tell you because I haven’t talked to the players yet. We have training now, so we will define the team there.

“I could hardly tell you the criteria that I have not only in the choice of a footballer but also the criteria regarding the final choice.”
