Solly March signs new Brighton deal

Solly March has signed a new contract with Brighton and Hove Albion that runs until 2026 with the option of a further year.

The 28-year-old is having his best goalscoring season of his career after netting seven times whilst providing four assists.

The Seagulls head coach Roberto De Zerbi said, “It’s great news. Solly deserves this new contract. We are all happy for him and I am happy for him because I want all the great players to stay with me.”

March has made 266 appearances for the South East club since joining from Lewes back in 2011 as 17-year-old.

Brighton host Grimsby Town in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup this Sunday at the Amex Stadium before they face high flying Brentford 13 days later.

De Zerbi’s side are currently seventh in the Premier League just six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur with two games in hand.

Interestingly, the Seagulls are just nine points away from equaling their best ever Premier League points tally (51) which was achieved last season under the stewardship of now Chelsea boss Graham Potter.
