Fabrizio Romano has reported that Saudi Arabian clubs are prepared to pay €40m to Arsenal for Thomas Partey- who’s departure from the North London side this summer is possible.
It is understood that the midfielder is a concrete option for the Gulf state, with the Saudi clubs interested being prepared to pay the reported fee in instalments.
However, there is yet to be a decision made from the player himself, with several approaches having been received from European clubs and no talks having taken over a potential new deal at The Gunners- who are expected to soon make a decision over the 30-year-olds future, according to Sky Sports.
The reports over the former Atletico Madrid man’s potential departure follows Arsenal having a club record bid worth £90m rejected by West Ham for their captain Declan Rice, who- despite typicallly playing as a defensive midfielder- is not believed to be a direct replacement for Partey. Instead, as per David Ornstein, it is expected that Mikel Arteta’s side will instead look for a new midfielder to sign alongside Rice, should the Ghanaian depart
