Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes will return to Roma for a second stint with the club after they signed him from PSG. Previously, Paredes played for Roma from 2014 to 2017, and put on some brilliant performances for the team. Since leaving Roma in 2017, the 29-year-old played for several teams like Zenit Saint Petersburg, Paris Saint Germain, and a loan stint with Juventus. However, after so many different stints, Paredes will now return to Rome.
As per a tweet from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Roma has signed Leandro Paredes on a permanent deal from Paris Saint Germain. The value of the deal is reported to be around €4m, which is considered a bargain by many. Paredes will join Roma on a two-year deal, and he will have the option to extend it for a further season. The news of Paredes’ transfer to Roma has delighted the fans of the Italian club.
Last season, Paredes was a crucial part of Juventus’ midfield. Overall, he made 39 appearances for the club, in which he scored one goal and dished out two assists. The 29-year-old was also part of an Argentine side that won the World Cup last year in Qatar. With Paredes now ready to don the Roma jersey, it will be interesting to see how José Mourinho uses the Argentine.
