Reiss Nelson has rejected the first contract proposal made by Arsenal according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romano also stated that Nelson has been approached by many clubs in England and also from abroad over a potential free transfer.
The 23-year-old has only made eight appearances in the Premier league this season, all of which have been from the bench, scoring three goals whilst providing two assists.
Nelson has come through the Arsenal youth system but has struggled to break into the first team after loan spells with 1899 Hoffenheim and Feyenoord.
Being a young, homegrown talent Nelson will not be short of suitors this summer and this could see the winger leave in a bid to get regular first team minutes.
The Gunners travel to the North East this weekend to face Newcastle United at St. James’ Park before hosting Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium the following week.
