The worth of the proposed deal was reported to be in the region of €15m. However, Burnley will have to now fight as Reims have entered the race.
As per a tweet from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Reims officials presented a bid to Ajax today. The French club’s proposal is a permanent deal worth €16m to sign the 21-year-old. The proposed deal from Reims will also include a sell-on clause for Ajax. The journalist concluded his tweet by mentioning Ajax would continue negotiating with both clubs interested in signing Daramy.
Reims and Burnley’s interest in signing Daramy does not come as a surprise. Last season, the 21-year-old was very impressive while playing for Ajax.
