According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have concrete interest in Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz.
Chelsea are opening to discussing the 23-year-old’s exit, but the West London club want an ‘important’ fee and they will not accept a loan bid or anything similar.
Carlo Ancelotti is thought to ‘really appreciate’ Havertz, who is Chelsea’s joint-top goalscorer this season after netting nine times in all competitions.
Chelsea will no doubt want to recoup the majority of the €80.00m fee they paid Bayer Leverkusen to bring Havertz to the Premier League in 2020.
The German international’s market value has suffered a steady decline according to Transfermarkt, who valued Havertz at €90.00m in 2019 in comparison to the €60.00m he is now quoted at.
The newly appointed Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino reportedly wants to trim the squad down ahead of the new campaign and Real Madrid’s interest could spark a decision regarding Havertz’s future ahead of the transfer window reopening on Wednesday June, 14.
