Rasmus Højlund set to appoint new agent amidst Manchester United links

Atalanta striker Rasmus Højlund is set to appoint a new agent, meaning he will be open to a summer move, according to Fabrizio Romano via the United Stand.

Romano further states Højlund is open to joining clubs from England and Germany following an impressive breakout season in Serie A.

The 20-year-old has scored 14 goals in all competitions for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side whilst assisting five in 33 appearances.

The Denmark international has five goals in four caps since making his debut in September 2022 versus Croatia.

Remarkably, Højlund was signed from Sturm Graz last August in a €17.2m deal and it appears likely that fee will at least quadruple if Atalanta do decide to sell their prize asset.

Manchester United appear to be the most likely destination given their financial resources paired with their need to sign a long-term striker following Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani’s departures last year.
