Raphinha and Ferran Torres both want to stay amid Arsenal links

According to Fabrizio Romano, Raphinha and Ferran Torres both want to stay at Barcelona this January. Arsenal were reportedly linked with both players but they are exploring other options to strengthen in attack.

“Despite links with Arsenal, both Raphinha and Ferran Torres want to continue at Barcelona, so this is the situation as of now. Arsenal are discussing internally about the best candidate for new winger,” said Romano on his Substack.

After missing out on Mykhalio Mudryk to London rivals, Chelsea, the gunners now have 13 days left in this window to sign a new winger as they look to sustain their bid in winning the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit in first place with an eight point cushion over Premier League holders, Manchester City. The need for January arrivals may not seem urgent but with the return of the Europa League round of 16 in early March, their squad depth may be challenged without an addition to the side this month.
