PSG target Bernardo Silva to replace Lionel Messi

According to Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain have set their sights on Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva as they look to replace Lionel Messi this summer.

Messi is expected to leave the Ligue 1 giants at the end of the season after two years at the club.

Silva is reportedly PSG’s number one target to replace the Argentine and after six years at the Etihad, the Portuguese international may be open to beginning a new chapter elsewhere.

The 28-year-old has been subjected to interest from Barcelona in the past but the Catalan club were thought to be put off by the £70.8m price tag, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The 80-capped international has scored five goals this season whilst providing seven assists in 51 appearances for the Citizens.

Silva looks set to be crowned a five-time Premier League champion after six years at the club. City are the current league-leaders, four points clear of Arsenal in second, with a game in hand over the Gunners.
