ESPN football writer Julien Laurens told Sky Sports News: “The only thing we know right now is that only the Premier League can afford Neymar.”
The Brazilian star has appeared 29 times for Paris-Saint Germain this season, scoring 18 goals whilst providing 17 assists.
After undergoing ankle surgery on March 10th , it remains to be seen whether Neymar has recovered and if this surgery will have the desired impact.
Neymar still has four years remaining on his deal and his value according to Transfermarkt is €70.00m which could prove to be a stumbling block for many clubs.
With the Premier league being the destination for the PSG ace if he was to leave Paris, clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester City would be the most likely.
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has spoken to the PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi regarding Neymar’s situation and the possibility of bringing him to Chelsea.
