Predicted Arsenal XI vs Bayern Munich

Arsenal play in a Champions League quarter-final tie for the first time since 2010 when they host Bayern Munich at the Emirates on Tuesday night. Following their comfortable 3-0 win at Brighton on Saturday, Mikel Arteta has a couple of decisions that he needs to make.

Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko both started at the weekend. Jakub Kiwior could come in for the latter at left-back as he comes up against one of Leroy Sané or Serge Gnabry, but expect Jesus to retain his place in the squad. The Brazilian, who has six goal contributions (four goals and two assists) in six Champions League games, should start on the left-wing which would allow Kai Havertz to lead the line.

After coming through the Brighton game unscathed, Bukayo Saka will also start. Declan Rice and Jorginho are also creating an excellent understanding on the pitch, with the duo expected to play in the double-pivot.

All in all, it’s good news for Arteta who has an almost full strength squad available, with Jurrien Timber the only notable key absence.

Predicted Arsenal XI vs Bayern Munich

David Raya – Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel, Jakub Kiwior – Declan Rice, Jorginho, Martin Odegaard – Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz.
