PLAYER RATINGS | Brazil 2-0 Serbia

Brazil picked up a 2-0 win over Serbia, courtesy of an excellent performance in the second half from the likes of Vinicius and Richarlison.

While the first half was clunky and Serbia looked solid, the second half saw the Selecao come alive. Vinicius was key, as he played a key role in creating both the goals.

Key performers:

Richarlison, 7: While the Tottenham man didn’t have too many touches of the ball in the first half, he made the impact when needed and capped off the second half with an exceptional overhead kick. It could give him the confidence to score more goals in the rest of the tournament and for Spurs under Antonio Conte.

Vinicius Jr, 8: It was a performance worth remembering for the Real Madrid man, as he was huge in creating the two goals for Richarlison. He often had to take on three defenders and succeeded, leaving defenders for dead. The winger’s assist for Richarlison was quite exceptionally casual, showing what a quality footballer he is.

Casemiro, 7: The Manchester United man was vital in dictating play from the back and also hit the post late in the game. He received the ball in good areas and used his passing ability to play long-balls in-behind. It was the sort of performance that many fans will remember for a while.
