Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang headed to the MLS?

The Daily Mail are reporting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s Chelsea career is under intensifying scrutiny following his exclusion from the Champions League 25-man squad this month.

The striker joined the west London side from Barcelona last summer but the 33-year-old has struggled to play regularly, making just four starts in the Premier League.

His arrival came within the Thomas Tuchel era with the former Chelsea manager reuniting with Aubameyang following the pair’s spell together at Borussia Dortmund, however Tuchel was sacked last September before Graham Potter was appointed as head coach.

Reports suggest the MLS may be a possible destination for the Gabon international with LAFC interested in signing him.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid player Gareth Bale joined the Major League Soccer club last summer before announcing his retirement last month at the age of 33.

Aubameyang could join the MLS champions LAFC immediately with the American transfer window open until April 24.
