Paris Saint-Germain is preparing for life after Kylian Mbappe. Reports suggest that the French Giants have made a big money move for Atalanta forward Rasmus Højlund. PSG have made a €50m bid for the striker. The reports also add that the French club won’t be willing to pay more. Due to his performances, Højlund in recent times has been monitored by several big clubs.
English side Manchester United too is key on signing the Atalanta striker. As per reports, United verbally agreed to pay Atalanta €50m plus €10m in add-ons. Since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, the English team are left without a proper No. 9. While Mbappe was on the radar of the Carabao Cup winners, manager Erik ten Hag seems more interested in signing Rasmus Højlund.
As Højlund’s camp is yet to make a decision, it will be interesting to see where the Danish footballer plays next season. In his very first season with Atalanta, Højlund impressed fans and clubs by scoring 16 goals in 42 games in all competitions. He also dished out seven assists. These stats are impressive considering it was the 20-year-old’s first season playing in Italy. Many pundits and scouts believe Højlund is a great talent, and it will be interesting to monitor his future.
