Nottingham Forest submit official bid to sign Odysseas Vlachodimos

After rumours of speculated interest, Nottingham Forest has finally made a move for Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos. Over the last few days, the Greek goalkeeper has also been a subject of interest from Manchester United. However, the team has made no formal contact. Hence, based on recent developments, it seems Vlachodimos will most likely end up at Forest.

As per a tweet from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest has submitted a bid close to €9m to secure the services of Odysseas Vlachodimos. However, it seems Benfica are looking for more to sell the player. The tweet mentioned that both clubs would further continue talks. Romano concluded his tweet by adding Manchester United views Vlachodimos as a backup option if they fail to sign Altay Bayındır.

Last season, Odysseas Vlachodimos was a key figure between the sticks for Benfica. In 54 appearances for the Portuguese club, Vlachodimos kept 28 clean sheets and conceded 39 goals. During his time at Benfica, the 29-year-old has become famous for his shot-stopping abilities. Football fans and pundits around the world have positive things to say about Vlachodimos’ reflexes.
