Newcastle United eye Chelsea Trio

According to the Telegraph, Newcastle United are exploring the potential signing of three Chelsea players. Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hakim Ziyech are all said to be of interest to the high-flying North East football club.

One would imagine a deal for all three would be near impossible especially considering the injury crisis at Chelsea, however, Hakim Ziyech may be the more likely of the three to make a switch with the Moroccan only starting three games all season.

Despite a fantastic World Cup campaign, Ziyech has found it difficult to consistently play regular football and with the arrival of Mykhailo Mudryk, his minutes for Chelsea may become even more sporadic. Mudryk signed from Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee believed to be in the region of £88m which may mean Chelsea need outgoings on a permanent to help meet financial fair playing regulations.

Newcastle United currently sit third in the Premier League and despite their lofty points advantage over Chelsea (10), Graham Potter may consider them direct rivals for Champions League qualification, thus meaning reluctancy when allowing any one these three players to join the magpies.
