Naby Keita joins Werder Bremen on a free

Liverpool’s Naby Keita has offically joined Werder Bremen on a free transfer, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

The 28-year-old midfielder joined Liverpool in 2018 from German side RB Leipzig for a fee of around €60.00m.

Keita only made 13 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool this season, and did not register a single goal or assist in those games.

Transfermarkt currently value Keita at 17.00m, however the Reds are losing him on a free, due to the expiry of his contract.

The Guinean midfielder will hope to re discover his form returning to Germany, where he enjoyed his best campaigns with RB Leipzig in both the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons.

Since coming to Merseyside, Keita has contributed 19 goal involvements, scoring 11 goals and providing 7 assists. To put that into context, The Guinean international had 33 goal involvements in only two seasons for RB Leipzig.

Liverpool are already making midfield reinforcements, with the recent addition of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton.
