Moisés Caicedo deal entering crucial hours

Fabrizio Romano has reported that the deal for Moisés Caicedo is entering “a crucial 24 hours“. Brighton have made it clear they will sell the player to the highest bidder.

Chelsea continue to push for the Brighton midfielder, with their “dream” being to present him on Sunday, when the Blues take on Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool have also made contact with Brighton this morning, and are planning to submit an official bid in the following hours.

The 21-year-old midfielder made 43 appearances for The Seagulls in all competitions in the 2022/23 campaign, scoring one goal, providing one assist and contributing to 14 clean sheets. Brighton finished 6th in the Premier League, qualifying for European football for the first time in their history.

Caicedo has also had interest from Bayern Munich and Saudi Arabia, however it is believed the Ecuador international will stay in the Premier League for the upcoming campaign.
