According to The Athletic, Manchester United are pursuing a loan deal with Bayern Munich’s midfielder Marcel Sabitzer a possible option.
The 28-year-old may be subject to a potential loan move to Old Trafford in the final hours of the transfer window after news broke of Christian Eriksen’s injury.
Eriksen will be out until late April or early May after sustaining an ankle injury in United’s FA cup win over Reading on Saturday.
Sabitzer joined Bayern Munich from RB Leipzig in 2021 for a fee believed to be in the region of €15m.
He has gone on to make 54 appearances for the club.
The Austrian has made 68 appearances for his country, scoring 12 goals.
Should Sabitzer complete a move to United, he will become Erik Ten Hag’s third signing of the transfer window following the arrival of Jack Butland (on loan) and Wout Weghorst (on loan).
However, with the deadline fast approaching (11pm), the deal for the midfielder may prove to be difficult.
