Portuguese footballer Alex Telles is close to securing a move to Saudi-based side Al Nassr. On July 19th, journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Telles’ deal was done and the agreement was ready. In the same tweet, the veteran football journalist also mentioned that Manchester United will be receiving a fee of Β£4m plus add-ons for Telles, whereas the player will draw a reported salary of Β£7m per season in Saudi.
In a new tweet now, Romano reported that United will be keen on getting all documents signed by the end of this week. This will be a key move after both clubs had a verbal agreement on July 19th. However, that won’t be all between United and Al Nassr. Reportedly, the Saudi side is also interested in signing United center-back Eric Baily. The two teams will discuss the 29-year-old player’s future soon.
Last season, Alex Telles spent time playing for Sevilla Football Club on loan, after he fell out of favor at Manchester United. The 30-year-old had a successful season in Spain as he made 34 appearances for the club, and also won the Europa League. With Telles now set to move to Saudi and reunite with his Portuguese teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, it will be interesting to see how he plays.
