Former Barcelona and Spain manager Luis Enrique reveals he would like to experience the Premier League following his departure from the Spanish national team last year.
Enrique said: “I would like to try an experience in Premier League! But I’d only accept an interesting project,” he said.
“I’d only join a club where I can do big, important things.
“I’ve received proposals from national teams, I keep all options open,” quotes courtesy of Fabrizio Romano.
Enrique’s Spain side suffered penalty shootout heartbreak at the Qatar World Cup after Morocco knocked them out in the round of 16.
The 52-year-old managed 38 games picking 1.87 points per game spanning across three years and two major tournaments.
The Spaniard guided his team to a semi-final during EURO 2020 before Italy also advanced through via a penalty shootout.
Tottenham Hotspur appear to be the most likely destination for Enrique following Antonio Conte’s departure earlier this week.
Spurs return to Premier League action this weekend versus Everton at Goodison Park before hosting high-flying Brighton and Hove Albion the following week.
