According to Fabrizio Romano, Leicester are leading the race to sign the highly-rated Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
The 22-year-old’s agent, Levan Seturidze, was in London yesterday attending the fixture between Chelsea and Liverpool.
Seturidze is believed to be working on a summer move for the Georgian international who is reportedly attracting a great deal of interest.
Mamardashvili joined the Spanish club on a permanent deal in January 2022 from Dinamo Tbilisi for a fee believed to be in the region of €850k.
The Foxes are currently facing a relegation battle as they sit 19th in the Premier League, two points adrift from safety with nine games remaining.
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers departed the club last weekend after suffering a last-minute 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace which left them winless in eight games.
The East Midlands side host Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium on Saturday before travelling to the Etihad Stadium the following week to face Manchester City.
