Kim Min-jae’s entourage deny Manchester United done deal rumours

Kim Min-jae’s entourage have denied reports suggesting a deal to Manchester United is done and insist there has been no concrete contact.

“There is no hurry for the future. United have been interested in Kim since he was in China, we only spoke but I repeat, there has been no concrete contact,” his entourage told Star News Korea.

The Napoli defender has enjoyed a stellar campaign in Italy and has been a key figure in Gli Azzurri’s Scudetto triumph.

The 26-year-old completed an €18.05m move from Turkish outfit Fenerbahce last summer and since his switch to the Serie A, his stock has risen dramatically.

The player has a market value of €50m, according to Transfermarkt, which is the same figure as his reported release clause.

United boss Erik ten Hag will be keen to sign defensive reinforcements this summer following the injuries of Lisandro Martínez and Raphaël Varane throughout the season.
