João Félix joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid in January in an €11m loan move and since his arrival he has largely impressed Blues fans barring his debut in which he received a straight red card for a challenge on Fulham’s Kenny Tete.
Speaking in Monday’s press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League round of 16 second leg tie versus Borussia Dortmund, Felix lifted the lid on his departure from the Spanish club.
“In terms of if I want to stay or not, the future no one knows. Chelsea is amazing, I am happy to be here.
“When I left Atletico, it was good for me and them. It was the perfect deal, to try something different. I am very happy to play at Chelsea,” Felix said.
The 23-year-old scored his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw versus London rivals West Ham United last month and has made five appearances for Graham Potter’s side.
“I’m here at Chelsea to play, to help the team and club win trophies. I just fight for that, to win trophies.
“I’m on loan, but the time I am here I want to help, play, score and win,” added Felix.
Chelsea host Dortmund on Tuesday before making the trip to the East Midlands to face Leicester City on the weekend who will be looking to avenge their 2-1 defeat in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge earlier this season.
