Leeds United Sack Manager Jesse Marsch

According to Fabrizio Romano, Leeds United have sacked manager Jesse Marsch following a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Romano stated: “Leeds board, now working on new head coach appointment.”

Leeds have failed to win a Premier League game since the World Cup restart and have won twice since August.

The west Yorkshire club find themselves in 17th, level on points with Everton who are in the relegation zone and just three points above Southampton in 20th.

Marsch joined the club in February 2022 following the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa. He took over the struggling side in 16th place before narrowly avoiding relegation on the final day of the Premier League season subsequently finishing 17th.

The 49-year-old has managed 32 Premier League games in total winning eight, drawing nine and losing 15.

Leeds face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening before the reverse fixture at Elland Road on the weekend.
