According to Fabrizio Romano, Javi Gracia is in talks with Leeds United to become the new manager following Jesse Marsch’s sacking earlier this month.
Romano further states: ” Club will make internal decision soon on the manager situation — there are two names in the shortlist.”
Gracia recently managed Al-Sadd SC who play in the Qatar Stars League. He managed the club for 22 games and averaged 2.27 points per game before departing last June.
The Spaniard had a spell in the Premier League as he managed Watford between January 2018 and September 2019.
In his first full season as manager he guided the Hornets to an 11th placed finish whilst also reaching the FA Cup final.
The 52-year-old has managed 12 clubs during his career and he has never been at a club for more than 2 years.
Leeds United host Southampton this weekend with just one point separating the two sides.
