Incredible stat does not bode well for Brazil’s World Cup quarter-final

While Brazil have reached the quarter-final of the FIFA World Cup, an ominous stat does not bode well for them ahead of the game against Croatia.

Brazil put four goals past South Korea in the previous round and impressed, the Selecao have not beaten a European side in a World Cup knockout game in 20 years. Oglobo state that their last win against a European side came against Germany in 2002 final and since then, they have lost five and have conceded 15 goals.

Croatia meanwhile, have not won a single knockout game in normal time since 1998, which was their edition of the tournament and even in 2018, they won all the games in either extra time or penalties.
