Granit Xhaka set to leave Arsenal at the end of the season

According to Fabrizio Romano, Granit Xhaka is set to leave Arsenal at the end of the season.

No negotiations over a new contract have taken place, and the plan is to part ways in June.

It is believed Bayer Leverkusen are in advanced talks to sign him for a €15.00m fee, on a four year deal with personal terms almost agreed.

The Swiss international has made 45 appearances for Arsenal this season, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists, his best output in a single campaign at senior level.

The 30-year-old midfielder has a market value of 28.00m, according to Transfermarkt, however, due to his current contract situation, he will be available for a cut fee.

Xhaka has played an extremely important role in Arsenal’s title charge this season, playing 35 of the 36 Premier league games this season.

Arsenal face Nottingham Forrest at the City Ground on Saturday in their penultimate game of the season.
