According to the Mail, Graham Potter feels his training sessions at Chelsea are being “undermined by having too many players to work with.”
The West London club currently have a first-team squad of 31 following a colossal spend in the winter transfer window. The club signed eight new players for a combined fee of approximately £323m however despite such investment, the club are currently languishing in 10th.
Potter has been under immense pressure following a run of seven games without a win.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion manager admits that it is proving a challenge to maintain squad morale because ‘most players want to play’.
Chelsea host Leeds United this Saturday at Stamford Bridge before their Champions League round of 16 second leg versus Borussia Dortmund next Tuesday.
The Blues suffered a 1-0 defeat at the Signal Iduna Park in the first leg following a superb solo goal by Karim Adeyemi.
