Galatasaray begin talks to sign Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha

As per journalist Fabrizio Romano, Turkish giants Galatasaray have begun talks to sign Wilfried Zaha. A product of the Crystal Palace youth academy, Zaha has spent 8 years with the team since he made his return from Manchester United. During this time, the 30-year-old has been a crucial part of The Eagles. However, as per recent developments, there is a chance that Zaha might leave Palace.

In a tweet, Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Galatasaray has initiated talks with Zaha to sign him on a free transfer. The tweet further mentioned that the talks between the club and Zaha are in advanced stages. Galatasaray are eyeing to make Zaha their next big signing after Cédric Bakambu recently joined the Turkish team. While Crystal Palace has also offered Zaha a record deal, Galatasaray seems adamant about signing the player.

Last season, Zaha made 28 appearances for Crystal Palace in all competitions. In those appearances, the 30-year-old scored seven goals and assisted twice. Some of his best performances last season came as a left winger. While Zaha is a free agent currently, some time ago, it was reported that Palace had prepared a record offer for the player which would see Zaha earning £200,000 a week. With so many options on his hands, it will be interesting to monitor what the player chooses to do with his future.
