Manchester United have had a strange week and speaking to Get Football, thanks to AltIndex.com, Dwight Yorke had harsh words for some of the players.
United beat Chelsea 2-1 last Wednesday in a dominant display and Erik Ten Hag then won the Premier League Manager of the Month award whilst Harry Maguire won the Premier League Player of the Month award.
Things were looking up for United until they embarrassingly lost 3-0 at home to Bournemouth. Yorke said that the players need to take responsibility and as a local player, Marcus Rashford in particular. Yorke said: “Rashford is a damn good player and he needs to look at himself….. His average performance should be better than most in that team because he’s that good.”
United are languishing in sixth having lost as many games as Bournemouth and Everton. Things don’t get any easier for the Red Devils as they have a home clash tomorrow against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
They round off the week with an away fixture against Liverpool. The wounds of the 7-0 defeat last time the two sides met will still be fresh in the minds of the United players and Ten Hag will be fearing for his job if they face another damaging defeat against their bitter rivals.
