Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was recently pictured having dinner with Sir Alex Ferguson which caused a great deal of talk among United fans.
The Dutchman revealed the legendary Scottish manager ‘wants to help and support’ his side and admits he is looking forward to meeting with him again.
Speaking ahead of United’s second leg tie versus Barcelona, ten Hag said:
“I always enjoy speaking with people who have a lot of knowledge, a lot of experience. He (Sir Alex Ferguson) wants to share it; he wants to help and support.”
“You feel Manchester United is his club. He feels so committed and he wants that we are doing well.
“It was a great night and I look forward to the next night with him.”
The Red Devils have a big week ahead with the Carabao Cup Cup (EFL Cup) final taking place this Sunday versus Newcastle United at Wembley.
United will play four games across four different competitions within the next two weeks.
The pile up in fixtures will no doubt be challenging for ten Hag’s squad however Anthony Martial was pictured out on the grass at Carrington today ahead of a potential return to fitness.
