David Raya’s agent suggests his client will stay at Brentford if his price tag isn’t reduced

Brentford goalkeeper David Raya is set to leave the club this summer with his contract due to expire in 2024.

The Bees have already found their replacement in Freiburg keeper Mark Flekken, who has completed a €13.00m switch from the Bundesliga club.

However, Raya’s agent has recently suggested his client will stay at the West London club should the 27-year-old’s £40m price tag not be reduced.

“If Brentford does not lower the price tag for David Raya this summer, we’ll be ready to leave as free agent in one year,” Futbol21Pro agent Jaume Munell said.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all said to be interested in signing the Spaniard, who has been a mainstay in Brentford’s side since joining from Blackburn Rovers in 2019.

Raya has a market value of €25.00m, according to Transfermarkt, which indicates Brentford may struggle to sell their number one for the desired £40m, particularly given his contract situation.
