David Raya is reportedly subject to interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur with the goalkeeper out of contract in June 2024.
Raya has heavily impressed since signing for Brentford in 2019 as part of a £3m move from Blackburn Rovers.
However, the Spanish international has revealed he rejected a new contract offer from Brentford in January but insists he remains happy at the club.
“I don’t think it’s the right time to sign a contract at the moment,” he told the PA news agency. “I’m really, really happy and right now I’m just thinking about doing the best for the team and trying to push for Europe.
“I was offered a new contract last year and one in January but we didn’t reach an agreement. I would like to see what happens in summer, however I’m happy at Brentford.
“For now a new contract is secondary, the most important thing is the team and the games. We’ll see where we are in May.
“You never know what’s around the corner. There’s nothing I can say about what’s going to happen in the summer. I don’t even know what’s going to happen on Saturday.”
The 27-year-old is expected to leave the club this summer and potential suitors may be left scrambling for his signature with the spaniard attracting large interest.
Brentford currently sit seventh in the Premier League just one point behind Brighton and Hove Albion who occupy a Europa League qualification position.
Should the Bees attain a top six or seven finish, it may persuade Raya to sign a new deal ahead of a European tour next season.
