Cristiano Ronaldo misses Portugal training

Manchester United and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo has missed training with the national team today.

While training footage over the last two days has shown the striker meet up with his teammates and feature in training, Ronaldo has not trained with the first-team today. FPF have officially confirmed that the player hasn’t joined training, revealing that he has an upset stomach (via Bruno Andrade).

Videos had emerged of Ronaldo meeting his teammate Bruno Fernandes when the training camp had begun, but the midfielder hadn’t looked too happy with the striker as the meeting came after CR7’s fiery interview with Piers Morgan.

A part of the full interview is set to be released on Wednesday, with the next part set to be released by Morgan on Tuesday.

Portugal open their World Cup on Thursday in their game against Ghana, followed by a game against Uruguay and Asian side Korean Republic in what is a stiff group for Fernando Santos’ side.
