Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that a South Korean player had told him leave the field in the game yesterday and he wasn’t angry with Fernando Santos.
The striker was substituted in the game after a frustrating outing for the Portuguese side, who lost 2-1 to South Korea but still managed to go through to the next round.
After the game, Ronaldo spoke to A Bola (via TMW) and he revealed that he wasn’t angry at Santos but angry at a South Korean player, who doesn’t have the ‘authority’ to tell him to leave the field quickly.
The veteran stated: “A South Korean player told me to leave the field quickly, I silenced him because he doesn’t have the authority to tell me those things. I didn’t disagree with Santos, I spoke with the Korean player.”
Ronaldo has one goal in the World Cup so far, but he has done two frustrating outings, as he looks for a new club.
