According to the Daily Mail, Andre Ayew is set to fly to England with Everton looking to complete a free transfer for the former Swansea City and West Ham player.
Ayew, who was previously signed to Qatari side Al Sadd SC, has received a “£2.5million golden handshake freeing him to return to the Premier League,” as reported by the Daily Mail.
The Toffees failed to land any of their transfer targets after receiving £45m for the sale of Anthony Gordon who joined Newcastle United earlier in the window.
Everton we’re the only Premier League side not to sign a single player during the transfer window.
However, Everton could still deliver a signing with Ayew able to sign on a Bosman after leaving Al Sadd SC.
Despite no arrivals player-wise, Everton have recently appointed a new manager with Sean Dyche succeeding Frank Lampard who was sacked last month.
Dyche joins the club with the Toffees sitting in the relegation zone, level on points with Southampton who lie bottom of the Premier League.
