Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea will make a new bid for Brighton’s Moisés Caicedo for more than a £70m fixed fee. The offer will again include add ons, as Chelsea hope to reach a final agreement on a fee this week.
Liam Twomey of The Athletic has reported that Brighton want “Enzo/Rice money for Caicedo“, and their asking price is around a fee of £100m. However there is not another bidder in the race for the Ecuador International to drive his price.
Due to Chelsea’s need for a defensive midfield reinforcement, and Brighton’s reported promise to Caicedo in January that he could leave in the summer for an “important fee“, it looks like it will come down to which club cracks first in negotiations.
Transfermarkt value Caicedo at €75.00m, and Brighton’s asking price is set at the £100m mark as previously mentioned. However Chelsea believe a deal could be struck for around £80m fixed fee with add ons.
