Chelsea see £55m bid rejected for Moisés Caicedo

The belief around the Amex Stadium stadium is that the Ecuadorian will not be for sale this window and the offer from Graham Potter’s side fell way below their valuation.

Caicedo joined the seagulls in February 2021 from Independiente del Valle and is under contract until 2025. He has made 25 appearances in the Premier League since making the switch and he had a spell out on loan last season with Belgian side, Beerschot V.A., who at the time played their football in the top-flight.

Brighton manager, Roberto De Zerbi, remained fairly levelled-headed about the future of Caicedo when speaking during his press conference ahead of the clash against Leicester City on Saturday.

“Caicedo is very important for us. I hope he finishes the season with us, but it’s always difficult to be certain,” De Zerbi said.
