Chelsea prepared to let Kai Havertz leave

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea and Kai Havertz are on the same page, both are willing to try something new, with Chelsea prepared to let him leave.

The German international has made 47 appearances for Chelsea this season in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing 1 assist.

Havertz joined The Blues for a fee of €80.00m in September 2020 , and Transfermarkt currently value him at around €60.00m which is close to the reported fee Chelsea would demand to allow Havertz to part ways with the club.

Real Madrid seem to be the most likely suitors for the 23-year-old, however Romano also stated that Chelsea are hoping for “more clubs to join the race in the next days after Real Madrid registered their interest last week“.

Havertz most notably scored the Champions League winning goal when Chelsea emerged victorious over Manchester City in 2021, scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win to secure Chelsea’s second Champions League title.
