The Mirror report Chelsea are monitoring Tottenham Hotspur target, Leandro Trossard. Brighton are unlikely to accept anything less then £25M for the 28-year-old after recently activating the option to extend his contract for a further 12 months.
Trossard’s prior deal expired this summer meaning Brighton we’re keen to extend their winger’s contract in order to ensure they didn’t lose him on the cheap. Brighton manager, Roberto De Zerbi, left Trossard out of the previous two games and he provided an update on his stance towards the player following their 3-0 victory over Liverpool on the weekend.
He said: “I want to be clear about Trossard. In this moment I am sorry for this situation. I think I didn’t make a mistake with him.
“The people who work inside of Brighton know very well the situation and I am fine with myself. I am open to wait for him. I am ready to open the door for him because he is a good guy and he is a very good player for us, very important player.”
