Fabrizio Romano has reported that Brighton are closing in on verbal agreement to sign Mahmoud Dahoud as a free agent.
Dahoud has made 101 appearances for Dortmund but is set to become a free agent this summer. Brighton have already completed a deal for Joao Pedro and are close to completing the signing of James Milner, so this would be Brighton’s third signing if all goes to plan.
The German midfielder has only made 10 appearances this season for Dortmund in all competitions, providing one assist.
Dahoud could be yet another shrewd signing by Brighton, preparing for the possible out goings of midfielders Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister, who have both drawn interest from top Premier league sides.
Brighton sit 7th in the Premier league as they continue their bid to secure European football next season.
They face second-placed Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.
