Brentford’s three-man David Raya replacement shortlist

According to Sky Sports, Brentford are targeting three different goalkeepers as they prepare for life without David Raya.

Raya has reportedly rejected two contract offers from the Bees and looks set to leave the West London club this summer.

Alban Lafont, Mark Flekken and Caoimhin Kelleher are all potential candidates to replace the Spaniard.

Nantes shot-stopper Lafont, is 24-year-old and is valued at €20m according to Transfermarkt. The former French Under-21 international has one year remaining on his contract and could be available for a slightly cheaper fee than his value represents.

Freiburg goalkeeper Flekken, 29, is a more experienced option for Thomas Frank’s side and would join the club at the peak of his career.

Premier League fans may be more familiar with Kelleher, who is the current understudy to Allison at Liverpool. The 24-year-old has made 20 appearances for the Merseyside club and is ‘ready to become a No.1 elsewhere’.

The Bees, however, will not sell Raya for a fee below their valuation which is believed to be £40m.
