Bournemouth set to sign Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarnyi

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bournemouth are set to agree a deal for FC Dynamo Kyiv centre-back, Ilya Zabarny.

The 20-year-old will fly to England on Tuesday to sign and undergo medical tests ahead of a deadline day move.

Zabarny made his debut for the Ukraine national team at 18-years-old and has since made 24 appearances in total. The defender has already made 84 appearances for FC Dynamo Kyiv.

Bournemouth currently sit within the relegation zone in the Premier League but after what appears to be a strong window for the Cherries, their survival hopes have been boosted.

Gary O’Neil’s side will look to make Zabarny their third addition of the window following the arrivals of Dango Outtarra and Antoine Semenyo,.

As well as Zabarny, the Cherries are also in full agreement with Sassuolo for the transfer of Hamed Traoré in a deal believed to be worth €30m including add-ons, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
