German giants Bayern Munich are the club with the highest number of FIFA World Cup call-ups this time around.
The tournament starts on Sunday, and it begins with Qatar’s game against Ecuador followed by England’s game against Iran on Monday.
The Athletic have conducted a research around the various over-arching stats around the World Cup and they have revealed that Bayern are the club with the highest number of World Cup call-ups this term. They have as many as 17 call-ups from their side.
Manchester City come second because of 16 call-ups from their side, tied with Barcelona at the same number. Qatari side Al Sadd have had 15 call-ups, with Manchester United just one short. This is followed by Real Madrid, Chelsea, Al Hilal and Tottenham Hotspur, with the English giants having 11 call-ups to the tournament.
While Bayern are at the top of the list, it can leave Julian Nagelsmann with a thin and tired squad for the second half of the season.
